Sex, Cinema and Politics

Over the past few days I have been catching up on the cinema that I have missed. Wicker Park, I have the soundtrack and never really bothered about the film itself. I assumed it was about some upstate private school or something. Apparently I was wrong. Its an interesting take on stalking. Josh Hartnett is Matthew who falls for a stranger, Lisa (Diane Kruger). I didn't really take it all in I watched it not expecting much from it, its something to while away the hours. The soundtrack is amazing, +/- :: All I Do, Jamie Wyatt :: Lightswtich and many others. Of course the ever-beautiful Strange and Beautiful by Aqualung.

Then there was The Dreamers, set in 1968 Paris during the student riots. Amazing piece of work. A little hard to watch for those of a prudish nature, pleanty of flesh on show, but not unnecessarily. Micheal Pitt is (Im noticing a theme here!) Matthew, who finds himself living with twins Isabelle and Theo. Its quite beautiful.

The above reminded me of Paris and living there for 14 short days a few summers ago, it wasn't living but holidaying, nonetheless it was such an amazing time in an amazing city. I get such insatiable urges to live in Paris. It is truly beautiful.
